CHAKRAS AND AURAS

The word Chakra means spinning disk or wheel and each 7 chakras that we have is a whirling vortex of spinning energies. The chakras can work on each other or together and are connected through a series of astral and etheric tubes and canals that allow energies to pass from one to another.

Chakras can easily become blocked by long held negative emotions, toxins, thought patterns etc. If these aren't released like when we break up in a relationship we carry around the same energies, then this can lead to physical imbalances.

There are seven main chakra centres in the body that are to do with our every day actions and our personalities. They are all associated with their own particular colour.

c Crown Chakra- Power of Consciousness
Relates to knowingness, values, ethics, courage, selflessness, faith and inspiration, spirituality and devotion.
c Third Eye Chakra - Power of Insight
Relates to clear seeing, clairvoyance, intuition, self evaluation, intellect, intuition and wisdom
c Throat Chakra - Power of Communication
Relates to communication, choice, strength of will, capacity to make decisions, speech, individual needs, and self-expression.
c Heart Chakra - Power of Love
Relates to self-love, love of others, love of God, affinity, loneliness and commitment, forgiveness and compassion, hope and trust.
c Solar Plexus Chakra - Power of Vitality
Relates to energy distribution, inner strength, self-control, power, ego, personality, desire, care of self and others, and self-esteem.
c Navel Chakra - Power of Relationship
Relates to emotions, relationships, intimacy, sexuality, creativity, work and money.
c Root Chakra - Power of Survival
Relates to being in a physical body, safety, security, the ability to stand up for oneself, tribal information and relating to the material world.

The easiest way to open and close your chakra I found is by using the following meditation exercise. It is visualising a beautiful glowing petal slowly opening to awaken you.

Opening the Chakras

Be in a quiet and peaceful environment, make sure you wont be disturbed for atleast 10-15 minutes.

Try to relax and clear your mind, push away negative thoughts and imagine them flowing awayinto the universe to be taken care of.

Center yourself and visualise each chakra spot starting at the crown (top of the head) slowly opening like a petal. Remembering to see the colors aswell.

Then move gently onto your third eye chakra, heart, solar plexus and so on. Visualising the appropriate colors for each chakra opening beautifully, with pure glowly light energy.

Not every chakra will choose to open, this is ok - just try again another day. Which ever one opens will be right for you at that time. Just go with it.

When you start these techniques on a regular basis, you will start to feel some sort of tinglingwhen you get near things. This is just your chakras way of sensing objects energies. Your psychic awareness is also more attuned - your energy flow is increased.

If you don't feel comfortable using the the imagination of a petal opening, that's fine. You arewelcome to use anything of positive light and energy opening up. What ever comes to mind, go with it! It's all part of learning to trust and follow your intuition.

Chakras that haven't been opened before will take a few weeks atleast to open fully. So be patient and don't force it.

Closing the Chakras

It is very important to close your chakra after opening it. This is just as simple as opening.. just visualise the exact same chakras with the right colors, but this time the petal (or whatever you wish) will be closely. At the end imagine a dark blue healing energy batheing the chakras so they are healed and safe.
